Incredible value range. What method do you use to add color to an image like this. I would usually use a multiply layer for darker areas and an overlay layer for light areas with a base color layer. But this method is not always satisfactory even when my value range is correct. Any advice?

Motorstorm 2 has been out for about a year now, it was called Motorstorm: Pacific Rift. It was set on a tropical island but this section was based in an old, derelict sugar refinery, cue delapodated buildings!
