Yeah... it would take me the time you do 3 of these full paintings just to get these pictures together and transfor m them in the right perspective.

Damnit. Skilled people like you really depress me. I need to do all these damn comp shots and linework passes until I can even begin to think of painting T_T Oh well! One day!

Thanks for sharing mate. Insightful and inspiring!

so basically just a few photos over one another and some blocking..not really what i'd call painting, just photo manipulation

Haha yeah right? Give it a shot and you'll see it takes way more understanding of lighting, balancing and painting to do this kind of thing. These guys make it look easy because they're pros. They can paint this kind of stuff without pictures. Pictures just save time, which is what production is about. Time...

there is plenty of painting involved even in this process. if you dont like it im sorry, alot of people probably find this useful, and by the quality of artwork on your gallery it looks like you could do with a few tutorials as well.

well your painting went from, blocking, to a lot of detail with no inbetween making it look like you just added more photos, and its not really a tutorial, its more of a process..

i didnt show every stroke made or show every step taken as it would have been a massive tutorial. It was just an insight into a technique used by me and many other people (professionals included). Its purely meant to show people a different way of working. What do you expect from a "tutorial"?

This is fantastic to look through! Workflow this is like a window into the artists brain! It lets me see what I could do differently. I especially liked your color choice method along with the quick texturing! Thanks!
