wondering if all credit is given for art used, if i could use some of your background and scenery work for my game in the making? it is a simple point-and-click rpg, yes, but we are working hard on detailed worlds and characters and only a few artists we have found online have the style we wanted to use for the backgrounds. so, would ou mind allowing us to some of your work? it had a great sence of depth and detail that we have been looking for. it would mean a lot to us.

Sundragon I love your speed paintings. I s this Photoshop or Corel? I've tried for years to get that painted effect, but I seem to do better with marker-like settings. Awesome!

Thanks man. Think about colour, composition, values, what brush you are using etc etc. Most importantly keep practicing

it take alot of time and effort man, paint every day and see over the course of a year how you improve. Its not something that happens over night unfortunately.

Thanks alot, Id say practice and observation are key. Why not try doing some speedpaints based on photo reference? Do you have Photoshop and a wacom tablet?

I unfortunately don't have photoshop or a wacom tablet. I'm saving up money to buy the tablet though.

both will help with your landscape painting, in the meantime, try and use traditional media, even if its just pen and paper

the way you create depth by refining the rocks in the foreground (in addition to the foggy background) makes this appear way more complete than it actually is, love it.
wish i was anywhere near this level. mind sharing how long this took?

I really like this angle of viewing a waterfall. This reminds me a bit of a Bierstadt painting lighting wise but rougher in the details, but I like that feel. Also reminiscent of "Sadak in Search of the Waters of Oblivion", by John Martin at the St. Louis Art Museum, but without the heavy dark feel. Well done!

for this one it was pretty much a flat hard edged brush. Some texture brush as well but I forget which ones :(

Hope that helps!

It's very beautiful, especially with your use of light. The appearance of the brush you used looks really good, too. What program do you use?

Love it. I find studying speed paints gives me a better idea about how to paint better digitally than looking at completed pics. Do you work as a designer yourself?
